*The principle is based on a color change of the test fluid from blue to green to yellow in the presence of CO2 (carbon dioxide) in the coolant.
*If CO2 from engine combustion enters the coolant and is detected there by this sensitive leak tester, engine damage is likely.
*This could be a defective cylinder head gasket, a hairline crack in the engine block, or a faulty cylinder liner seal.
*The leak tester has a conical stopper that can be placed directly onto the coolant reservoir.
*The test fluid can be recovered and reused after testing.
